Hello Peeps, 25th of the month again which means it’s time for another Rudolph Day challenge. It’s quite simple, all you need to do is make a Christmas card or project and you have from now until the end of the month to link up at Sarn’s. There’s a fabby prize of a Penny Black cling stamp for a random winner, and their are so many other challenges with a Christmas In July type of theme going that you could kill many birds with one stone, so to speak.
I used a much neglected PB stamp, I’ve only used this one once before, and it’s so sweet and very easy to colour. I followed the picture on the stamp this time round as I had already picked out some papers in coordinating colours and the red and green theme suited them perfectly.
The image is called Snow Kiss and I coloured her with my Prisma pencils and added some fine Martha Stewart Glitter to her fur trim. The holly berries in her hat are little red gems. The papers are DCWV and were out of the Christmas paper scrap box, as was the red card the poinsettia print was mounted on. I cut the image out with Spellbinders Labels Eight and traced around the edge on to green card stock to use as a mount.
I based the LO on the current sketch at Sketch Saturday and instead of the sentiment strip on the sketch I wrapped some bakers twine and die cut the brand, spanking new Memory Box bauble die from green scrap card and tied it on. I have another plain bauble cut in the red card that I might add behind the green one so the numbers will be red, haven’t made my mind up yet!
Card Recipe:
- Card: Blank from Michaels ~ The Paper Company red and green card ~ GinaK Pure Luxury White

- Stamp: Penny Snow Kiss

I see what you did there but not sure how, I assume the metal things go into a machine and cut out the shape for you. Am currently struggling to get a picture into a frame, many things are beyond me. xx

Hi Brenda, sorry to be late in visiting, but will try to be more prompt next time. Always love these PB images…and you’ve done a superb job on this one. Great shading with your pencils…and loved the sparklies too. Wonderful idea to use the twine as you did, and pretty papers as well. TFS
