Sparkles Monthly Challenge ~ Back To School

Wow, our last challenge really captured your imaginations!  Either that or you suddenly relalised that Christmas is truly just around the corner!  Either way, to have more than 110 of you join in was fabulous.  The winner and Top3 have already been posted, and we’re now starting on our challenge for August which the lovely J0 picked, and it’s Back To School.  That event that children the world over dread but parents the world over look forward to since the school hols began, lol!

We have another wonderful sponsor and prize for you this time round and it’s the very generous Marianne Designs.

And here’s my card.  I found the sweet little reading Sprite digi free online from artist Elizabeth Dulumbo and he is copyrighted to her.  She has lots of lovely images so her site is definitely worth a visit.

He’s coloured with Prisma’s, added some Crystal Stickles to his wings, cut him out with a Spellbinders Wonky Rectangle die and mounted on to scrap blue card.  The papers are both digital too, from Raspberry Road Farm Chic.  I punched the brown scrap card with an EKSuccess punch that looks like the edge of notepaper.  A little scrap of ribbon, some bakers twine and an apple charm to give to his new teacher!  I made the greeting on the computer and used the smallest Wonky Rectangle to cut it out, it’s also mounted on to blue scrap card.  I also added punched photo corners and added some little black gems.

Please make sure you pop over to the Sparkles blog to see all the wonderful creations by my teamies and I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge.
