Well, last week I entered this challenge for the first time and it proved to be a real challenge getting a photo of the card due to the dire weather conditions and the fact that the clocks had gone back. This time I actually got my card made during the weekend so I could take a good photo of it but I was thwarted again, although this time I’m not complaining, far from it. We’ve had the most stunningly glorious weekend here in SE Michigan, we were out kayaking again this morning and this afternoon we had our shorts on! It was 66F and not a cloud in the sky for two days solid. So my problem this time wasn’t bad light but way too much good light!!
So, this weeks challenge is to use a song title, or lyrics as your inspiration. Not a problem as I’m currently knee deep in Christmas cards… so here is “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” featuring the Snow Squad.
- Stamps: Penny Black “Snow Squad”, watercoloured with inks; Sentiment from Hampton Art
- Inks: Tim Holtz “Antique Linen” sponged around all edges; black Stazon for the main image and Colourbox Q pigment ink in black for the sentiment. Sentiment was clear embossed.
- Papers: Background is DCWV Christmas stack 2008; The Paper Company green card; Watercolour paper for the main image.
- Tools: Fiskars corner punch; MS glitter; Stickles Frosted Lace, Xmas Red & Bright Orange, Ribbon from Jo-Ann’s, red gems and gold brad from stash and Poinsettia flower from Prima.
Didn’t get a chance to edit the photos either, did a bit of tidying and leaf raking in the garden this afternoon instead. Us folks in Northern climes have to make the most of the sun, it won’t be long before the snow flies!!
