Having finally mastered (she says!) the Penny Black Challenge I was on the look out for another one that wasn’t too demanding, fun, and had a good long posting time as I don’t get to make cards every day. So I picked Carol’s Sketch Fun, with is a fortnightly challenge that I think I might be able to manage doing here and there. I found it before Christmas and loved all the sketches, but Carol was taking a little break to get ready for the festive season so I stored it away for future use and checked back this week to find that she’s back in business.
The card I’m entering for this could have also been entered into the Penny Black Challenge too as I used more of the beautiful PB stickers that were still on my desk and kept the same colour scheme of cream, gold and blue because I was so inspired by it. In fact, the card I entered for PB was based on Carol’s sketch anyway, but I was having so much fun that I decided to go for a second card.
The card recipe is exactly the same as for the PB challenge, with the exception that I used a Martha Stewart punch this time in place of the Fiskars one. I also started with a light cream 6″ x 4″ card base too, so slightly smaller than the other one. It was only after I put the card together that I noticed the glaring space just to the right of the main image, should have paid more attention to my stamping!
