Hi all, hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and found whatever it was you wished for in your stockings on Christmas morning. Me? I got “one or two” new crafting goodies and have spent a bit of time over the last couple of days having a craft room tidy up and rearrange to accommodate it all!
I was poking about today on the net and saw, through Spyder, that Debby wants to see your five favourite Christmas cards that you made this year, so I thought I’d have a rummage through the blog files and see what I could come up with. Debby is also offering a lovely prize for a randomly chosen person and you have until the 29th to join in and post a link on her blog.
Right, here are my five:
A House Mouse brand stamp. I just love the Distress Ink water colouring and that cute little bear in the back seat of the car melts my heart every time I see him!!
A Penny Black image. I love this card because of it’s zany-ness. The crazy striped and dotty paper and all those brads too. This was just a fun card to put together.
Simple, quick and elegant. I made a set of five of these, the stamp is from Hero Arts.
In a word, tradition. I do love traditional cards for Christmas and this one for me is a special one. I’d been thinking for a while of using the reverse image left behind after you punch out an image and after a little play about I came up with this. Love the colours on this one and the pureness of it.
And for my final card, I asked Andrew which was his favourite and he said the purple Snowy one, without hesitation. He loved this one so much that I ended up making five of them at his suggestion. The image is PB Snowy and was sent to me as a RAK from Lynn (Spyder), which is a bit odd as images I sent her also ended up on her Five Favourite list too!!
So there you have it. Hope you find time to join in this little bit of fun too, it was nice to look back on the cards I’d made and pick out a few.

My favourite is the last one, too, though they’re all lovely. I didn’t take photos of any of the ones I made (which are very minimalist in design) but I quite liked the one I did using a polar bear stamp.

What amazing cards you’ve made, if I had received one of these at Christmas it would be staying up all year just for the pure enjoyment of gazing at it……..can’t pick a favourite, I love them all.

Love your chosen cards of the year Brenda and must say the Snowman one has to be my favourite, he is so handsome. I had a tidy up before Christmas and I’m back to square one again, an ever ending job! Wishing you a happy creative 2011. Carolxx

Hi Brenda
You made some absolutely stunning cards – lucky recipients who received them…
I have to say that my favourite card is the one where you used the reverse image of the snowflake – followed closely by the bears in the car- purely because of the excellent colouring using DI inks.
Hope you had a good one – and wish you a happy 2011!

Each one I came too I thought I liked the best-they are all fab. Given me some ideas too although probably forget them before I do xmas cards again! Tried to do the one xmas card a week this year but wasn’t in the mood to do them past January LOL!
Happy 2011.
