Wow, what a response last week to Chrissie’s and Mandi’s new blog adventure, Less Is More!!  Great stuff ladies.

I made this very quick and simple card for their second challenge, but also for the Penny Black Saturday crew, the Penny Black @ Allsorts ladies and for a second entry into the Winter White theme at the Penny Black Blog!!  I mentioned it was a quick make but would you be interested in knowing that start to finish this little beauty took less than five minutes??  I do love the PB brushmark stamps for their simplicity and elegance, they can make anyone look like they spent hours water colouring an image!!  Gotta love that!

The main stamp was inked in Victorian Velvet and Worn Lipstick DI along with a bit of Memento Lilac Posies, before being gently misted with water and then directly stamped on to the card blank.  The sentiment was also directly stamped, and a couple of lines added with my ScorPal.  The only embellishment, apart from the scored lines was a tiny bit of pink Stickles gently rubbed on to the flowers with my finger.

Card Recipe:

  • Card: Michaels
  • Stamp: Penny Black Efflorescence ~ Greeting from PB clear set Illumination
  • Inks: DI Victorian Velvet & Worn Lipstick ~ Memento Lilac Posies ~ Martha Stewart Hibiscus
  • Embellies: Cotton Candy Stickles
  • Tools: ScorPal
