Ooh look! Spring has arrived in Michigan! This was last Friday…. sunny, blue sky, 12C, 54F. Beautiful huh?
See those diminishing piles of snow? Want to see what they looked like two days ago on Monday morning??
At least I got to the snow blower first this time and himself had to shovel the paths!! Twas hard work though, had to really grit my teeth and push hard! (Hence the funny expression on my face!!)
So what do you think is back on my desk this week?? That’s right, more snowflakes!! The way I see it Winter is just like a bit of psychology, so go with the flow and don’t let it get you down!!
But I did clear it all up later and started stamping out loads of HM and Penny Black images to be sent over to England for my pal Sandra. Of course, now I have loads of stamps to clean! Better than shoveling snow though! Oh, and I finished a card too.
For more Wednesday desks, and weather reports too if you’re lucky!, head on over to Julia’s pad where we all congregate. And get me! less than 300 words this week! Oh, and I’ll get to you all as soon as I can, himself has a birthday today, so it’ll be presents, cards and a nice meal when I get home. Apparently no blog hopping is allowed this Wednesday evening!! Wow what a lot of snow!! I feel fed up with the miserable, dark, wet, rainy weather we are having over here, but its no where near as bad as that snow you have!! I hope you manage to stay warm and safe.

I certainly don’t envy you with all that snow – the only kind I like is on Christmas cards. Well done for all the stamping (and I don’t envy you the task of the stamp cleaning either). Happy birthday wishes to himself. x
Heck thats nothing. Normal bedtime is around 4am. Okay in the winter but it does tend to be light in the summer and with the birdies twittering. Can’t sleep for more than 3-4hours on the trot so why lie in bed thinking about it.
Love your snow pics. Amazing that all that snow can just go in such a short time. It’s damp and wet here today but I did manage to glimse Mr Squirrel arrive for his monkey nuts this morning.

One thing about apartment living, we don’t shovel. And our Super is super…he does a great job! I think we’ve got the “Just Go With It” vibe going here now. Long Islanders whine about any snow, but now we don’t even blink unless its at least six inches. Your cards look great, I’ll have to come back again for a proper look around. And this seems to be my question of the day…Who makes your craft mat?

fabulous photo’s Brenda ,, I am surprised the snow melted away so quickly !! We don’t get snow here ( Malta) but I am from northern England so do know how awful it can be ,,, nice to look at through a window ,, or on cards !!! 🙂

its a great idea sharing stamped images, so much cheaper than trying to buy every stamp in the shop! My friend and i do that when i go to visit her. it is generally after a craft fair and we swap images of the new stamps we have bought. ofcourse there is always the chance of putting an order in for images that we have all used up too, lol!

Everyone seems to have had so much snow this winter!! It has turned quite mild hee today (London area) but was wet…. so, little steps I quess, towards spring.

ohooo I’m just about to order that mouse, (well, will be as soon as I can find it! the first card I made for a competition won me £25 using him, he’s sooo cute, (I didn’t have the stamp then but did have a RAK) So much snow so quickly! Oh yeah, you’ve got real winter. Not like here in California… although we are supposed to get snow by the end of the week. This happened only once, during our first winter here. It probably won’t happen though… My definition of chilly? Well, for that particular day I was talking about: sunny, but a cold wind coming down from Alaska. So the breezy moments were chilly (for me chilly is warmer than downright cold), while it was beautifully pleasant without the wind – at least wrapped up in my blanket. However, I still have to laugh when people here say how cold it is, and it really isn’t. I don’t think I’ll ever forget our German winters! Shiver!!!
Here in Tennessee we are experiencing warmer temps also. Already a week of them and our grass looks like it needs to be mowed! I know there is more cold coming and we are just waiting and watching for it to happen. Probably more snow too. Love your space, Thanks for sharing it!
Even owning a snow blowing machine is an education to me but the UK makes such a fuss about snow, maybe we should have them here – enjoy your snowflakes of the warmer crafting variety …Shirl #106

Thank you for posting the pictures of the snow melting away! We have avoided the snow most of the winter and got a big dump of it today … now I have hope that it will go away in a couple of days!
Thanks for coming to visit my blog! I do have a couple HouseMouse and Penny Black stamps, they just might not be showing in the picture as they are generally larger stamps and probably in the middle to back rows.

I think perhaps we all ought to invest in a snow blowing machine if winters in the future are going to be like this year. Those snowflakes are very pretty, as you say go with the flow.
I can’t get over how quickly that snow melted. And it seems strange to think of the new skills you learn when living abroad, like using that snow blower. In Australia, it was learning how to manipulate the automatic pool cleaner (when visiting my mum, rather than living there, sadly).
I hope OH had a lovely birthday, hopefully with sun rather than snow.

All that snow looks great Brenda, but then I would say that because I don’t have to be the one to clear it all away. It really is a promise of things to cam when the bulbs start peeking through and there are new Green shoots on the plants but I can’t help finding it hard to believe that that amount of snow just disappeared in a couple of days.
You desk is looking as busy as ever and how lovely that you are sharing your stamped images with your friend.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Ah the American Midwest when it can snow one day and gone and clear the next and vice versa. You have a very nice nook for crafting and you make lovely cards too.
Every time I see you and some other crafters making Xmas cards I feel I should follow your example ….but I dont lol.
That is a lot of snow …a snow blower thingy would have come in useful this year here …luckily the council lorries grit and salt the main roads the minute there is a snow warning …and sometimes the pavements but this year they were caught unawares.
Oh just when you thought Spring had arrived too. My daughter would love all this snow, she still has her sledge out in the hope that we’ll get some more here in the Uk and although we got a bit last weekend it was very wet and slushy. Your snow blower looks great fun.
Your craft snowflakes look great too and you’ve certainly been stamp happy. I’m sure your friend will be delighted with all these.

I love the photos of where you live, before and after the snow. You asked about embossing the little pearls. I stuck them on the end of a piece of card stock, so my fingers were far away from the heat gun, then dabbed them in Versamark, the dabbed them in the powder, then heated them. I gave them 3 coats. I’ve done the same with brads, but held them with a pair of pliers.

I am a firm believer in the fact that men love flowers too. I have met some who don’t want tools and shirts on cards..they know they are men…my dad loved flowers.

Oh I am sooo jealous! You have a snow blower! I just have a shovel… and its snowed every day this week and I have shovelled every day this week! Glad spring has arrived somewhere… cos it looks like it may be another month or two getting to these here parts! LOL
I make a fuss about even the smallest amount of snow LOL I hate the stuff!!

Ah – gotcha about the speed of the snow melt. I was a bit worried that you’d move from the snow blower to pumping flood water out of your basement at that rate of melt! Enjoy those first signs of spring.

Strangely when we had snow on the ground before christmas I had snowflakes all over my desk, currently it’s wet and dull here and there is nothing productive about – sure that says something about me

We randomly had 3 inches of snow last Saturday, which is obviously weird for the UK.
Hello there. Fab pictures of the snow. I had better not mention that we have had a lovely crop of beautiful Snowdrops here in South Wales this last few weeks, and today I notice our Tete a Tete (xcuse spelling!) have started flowering!!
FYI – the stamps in the tin are by Cavallini (try Amazon as I bought another set of them from Amazon UK) and YES that is a microlite in my picture. That was a *0th birthday present from my husband! I LOVED it and ended up having a few lessons too in both flexi wing and fixed wing!
