Hello Peeps. I look forward to Saturdays, as many of you do, not because it’s the weekend (I like that too!), but because some of my favourite challenges set a new theme for us crafters. During my four weeks away from crafting I’ve often thought of looking to see what the challenges were, but as I wasn’t able to join in I decided not to taunt myself! I was on my hols for a couple of weeks and then I had two more weekends out of the house completely, and what with catching up at work and trying to get back into the swing of things crafting just went out of the window for a while. So it was great today to log on and look at the sites again, knowing that I’d be crafting again. In fact, I was so eager to see what was wanted on Saturday that I was at the laptop before I ate breakfast and I was still in my jim jams too!!
Anyway, waffling again. Saturday means Less Is More, who this week want embossing of some kind and a single layer card too, and it also means Penny Black Saturday Challenge who also want to see a Clean & Simple card too. So I combined both challenges and came up with this simple card.
I have to say it looks a little off kilter! It isn’t, it’s stamped nice and straight but my photography skills need a little work, lol! I used a lovely PB stamp called Inclinations, stamping it in ColorBox Q Burnt Copper pigment ink and heat embossing with Stampendous Detail Clear powder. I love the two tone effect these shadow stamps have. The sentiment is also PB, from a clear set and I added three little pearls to finish it off.
We have a pouring down day here in Michigan, so I hope to get more crafting done this afternoon, got lots of annuals planted up in troughs and tubs yesterday so this rain will do them good.
Card Recipe:
- Card: Free with UK card magazine
- Stamps: Penny Black Inclinations & Illumination clear set
- Inks: ColorBox Q Pigment Ink Burnt Copper ~ Memories Black Dye Ink
- Embellies: Pearls from Michaels
- Tools: Stampendous Detail Clear EP ~ Heat gun
