For anyone who visited me for What’s On Your Work Desk Wednesday this week, this is the finished card that was lurking on my desk.  I tried to fool you all that I was making Fall cards (which I was!), but quite a number of peeps spotted the Christmas Eiffel tower that had been stamped and was sitting waiting at the side of the desk.  I finally got back into my little room tonight, first time this week actually, and I finished the card.  I went vintage with it as that’s what was crying out to me!  I don’t do vintage very often but I kept it simple and really like how it came out.  I’ll be giving it to very good friends of ours who took their very first trip to Europe last year and absolutely fell in love with Paris, so this is for them.

The background paper is a plain beige piece from a DCWV Christmas Stack.  I over stamped each corner with a French script stamp using DI Victorian Velvet and clear embossing.  I also randonly sponged Victorian Velvet over the paper and stamped Inkadinkado and Papermania snowflakes in DI Worn Lipstick and Memento Sahara Sand.  The gold brocade piece is from Papermania At Christmas Time range and is actually vellum, so some of the stamping shows through IRL.  The lovely main panel is Stampendous Cling Eiffel Noel and I stamped it in Memento Mulled Mauve Chalk Ink, tore the edges and distressed them with DI Worn Lipstick and Aged Mahogany and mounting it to a piece of plain red cardstock that has also been torn.  All the holly leaves on the main panel have been accented with Crystal Stickles which isn’t showing up in the photo unfortunately.  The finishing embellishment is the beautiful wide satin ribbon and double bow.
