This really sweet little Penny Black stamp is called Xmouse Ornament, isn’t he cute floating down on his own personal snowflake?  I was given money last Christmas from my parents and inlaws and spent it at the best place for Penny Black stamps in the universe, PBStamps, I got a whole bunch of lovely new stamps, including this little fella, but this is the first time I’ve inked him up.  That’s the problem with buying Christmas stamps in January!!

Once again I used my new favourite papers from Memory Box, I’ve actually put them away for now otherwise every card is going to end up looking he same!  Anyway, mousie was water coloured with DI’s as usual. I stamped him twice and decoupaged the second one.  The little snowflake was painted with Shimmer Paints that were free on a UK card magazine in the summer, and I added a few light blue and clear gems.  I used a Nestie Large Oval for the frame and ran a glue pen around the embossed edge, adding Martha Stewart fine glitter and finally mounting on to red card.

You can see the decoupage better at this angle.  I deliberated long and hard about adding any extra embellishments on this card and decided that simple in this case, was best, so left it alone.  The sentiment is also Penny Black and is from the Winter Whites and Greens set, it was stamped on a scrap of the Memory Box paper in ColorBox Q Merlot Pigment ink and (badly!) trimmed with red card.
