I can’t quite believe that actually! I know they say that time speeds up the older you get but I’ve just never experienced that before, until this year that is, seems quite impossible to me that 2011 has only a few days left to run! But here we are, at the last What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday of 2011. Pop on over to Julia’s for all the deets or to sign up your own workspace.
I hope everyone had a very happy and healthy Christmas celebration and that you found one or two crafting goodies in your stocking on Christmas Morning. The sleeping under the tree was as magical as ever for us, but it’s back to my own bed after four nights on the family room floor with our sleeping bags, my back can only take so much of that!! I must have been sound asleep as I never heard the big guy in red arrive, but he brought me this little lot. I must have been exceptionally good this year!!
And a haul of Memory Box papers and two dies, all from Ebay. The paper especially was a fantastic deal, I managed to get the four packs for $15, $24 plus tax in the shops!
Along with a huge portion of the Upper Midwest we had what they call a brown Christmas, in other words, no snow! I heard on the radio that the week before Christmas in Minnesota (where they measure their snow fall in feet not inches!), that the golf courses were still open for business. We did, however, have a few crisp, frosty mornings and beautiful sunny days, especially for Christmas Day and Boxing Day. We went for a long walk at a local park on Boxing Day and I snapped this photo of the lake with a little rime of ice on it:
Crazy weather this year if you think back to the earthquakes, tornadoes, flooding, tsunami’s and hurricanes around the world, let’s hope 2012 is more “normal”. So, all that remains from me is to wish you all a wonderful, safe and Happy New Year, see you on the other side!
