Sandra at Stamping For Pleasure has a monthly Christmas challenge she calls Rudolph Day where she makes at least one Christmas card. This month she’s inviting us all to take part, and she’s offering a little prize to a participant too.
This card has taken the best part of a week to put together and I’m still not happy with it! I think the only thing I actually like is the little tissue flower I made!

Here’s a close up of the flower. It’s made with 12 separate tissue sheets cut with a 1 1/2″ scalloped punch which are then laid out and dabbed lightly with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink before before stacked together and secured with a brad. You then twist the layers up one by one and then fluff them out. I also added a little bit of Crystal Stickles too.

All of the papers are scraps, even the tissue paper was from a gift I received. The stamp is from Penny Black and I embossed it in silver and then embossed a smaller section in blue.

I don’t see anything wrong with this card at all – its gorgeous and just a very pleasingly aesthetic card. Love the flower which adds just that needed something to the card. Love the gold and blue together – works with it being a lighter blue.
