*** Yes, I know the link at No.2 is bad, that’s why I’ve relinked at No.30!! If you came form No.2 and found me anyway, thanks for persevering!!***
The brief version! After the essay I wrote last week, anything would be considered brief.
Yes, it’s Wednesday again, time to head on over to Julia’s, add your name to the list and start working away at the linky list of desks to visit.
Things couldn’t be more different here this week, for a start, the bikini is back in the drawer again after our 30C days turned into -2C nights!! Oh the poor blossom, oh the poor Magnolia (flowers are all brown), oh the poor daffs, etc, etc!! That slowed them down a bit I can tell you, slowed me down a bit too, especially getting out of bed in the mornings!
So what’s a girl to do when it’s that cold again? Why, craft of course, so that’s what I did….
I got the Cuttlebug out and worked up a warming glow cranking the handle multiple times! I cut out lots of those rolled posy flowers and made them all up, used a few on a project and put the others to one side for use whenever. After that I cut out other shapes that might be useful to have on hand, like swirls and leaves. They’re now in a little box just waiting for the right project to adorn.
See, I can be brief! Off you go, more desks to visit!!

I couldn’t get your link to work, so went to last week’s post and went from there. That “warm glow” may be hot flashes (JUST JOKING)! And I won’t take over your blog this week, I promise.

I’ve been making flowers too! I had to put them aside so I could do something different for a bit lol. We were roasting last week and this week it’s apple crops in peril from the frost. Happy WOYWW! #10

Your desk looks very productive…I’m with you on the weather change. I’ve been in my jammies all day. I didn’t plan on going out in the rain, so why get dressed….and now it’s closer to bed time than getting up time. I had great plans for productivity today, but not much going on here. My dog is loving it, just he and me….sitting watching TV. I guess I really should get something done today, at least cook dinner for my honey. So off I go, I’ll be back to see what you do with those lovely flowers.

Cranking? Rolling? Sounds like hard work. Love that pink. Oh your poor flowers, hope they perk up, supposed to be slightly warmer tomorrow. UK is positively blooming. I have posted early because you did, don’t suppose you can link me when you link if that’s okay. Xx
Famfa said:
Thanks for linking me. Once balloon is fully covered I will cut a hole in the top, put in candy, cover hole and paint and mold. Never made one myself either but like a challenge. X

The weather is whacky that’s for sure – you look busy. I am taking a Tim Holtz class so nothing is on my desk right now cause I don’t have all the product I need. Besides, I can’t find my camera cause my hose is a diaster!

Oh shame, I hate it when the weather is cruel to the plants, hope they survive the cold spell. I couldn’t get your link to work for some reason it couldn’t find your blog at all! Your desk looks so bright and colourful so hopefully it has warmed you up! Annette #22

Don’t you just love your Cuttlebug! I’ve enjoyed mine (probably should think about getting a few more dies). That’s smart to have a few dies ready to go for future projects – I think I’ll be a copy cat! 😉
Happy WOYWW

love those swirly roses. With the Marianne ones, you get leaves too. I like to make a few more of things – makes sense.
The weather you experience is quite diverse. I thought it was bad here but the extremes where you are, are very extreme. Hope it gets warmer again and stays that way.

If only I could be that organised LOL. Still one can dream!! I love that little die, I think the flowers are very modern looking. Glad I’m not the only who decided the die was easier than just cutting out a spiral, I could never get them to work. Hugs Cindy x

ahhhhhhhhhhgg!! it wants me to log in again…so I’ve changed my email…that fools it! I even paste and copyed what I typed just in case I had to type it all out again…and then even that didn’t work! I wonder why it’s doing that, it never used to and I don’t use the wordpress one coz I don’t know the password! Anyway…..I said something about that lovely pink card, and that is was just the right ‘stuff’ for doing a lot of die-cutting…Have a great day Happy WOYWW

It’s bonkers, isn’t it, the range between high and low temps at the moment. We’ve been sitting out in the garden having lunch, I’ve even got a touch of a tan!! But it’s all going back to normal at the weekend 😦
I like your pink spirals, are they what you’re making your flowers from? I love spiral shapes so would be tempted to leave them like that!! It made me laugh to read that you warmed up turning the handle – perhaps you could release a DVD of crafting related aerobics, see? Hit two groups with one product – just a thought 🙂

Wow, that ‘was’ brief Brenda, it almost feels like you don’t want to talk to us, Lol!
It’s lovely being able to sit out during the day but I guess we can’t take the weather for granted just yet, after all it is still only March. ……..but doesn’t it make you smile when the sun shines.
Looks like you’ve been busy with the old Cuttlebug. I’m never as organized as you so I have to cut things when I need them, mainly because I don’t know what I want to make until I actually sit down to do it.
You were asking if I use original photos in my LO’s. Usually I would scan them and use the copies but when I tried to do it with these ones the print didn’t come out very well, so I’ve kept a high resolution scan of the pictures and used the originals on the LO’s. I don’t really like doing that but on the other hand I like the fact that the pictures are ‘naturally’ distressed.
Thanks for stopping by this week.
Happy Crafting!
Sue

great idea to do a mass cut out, as long as you remember where you put them!
didn’t have time to post yesterday, have offered on a house and expect things to speed up in the next few weeks, nail biting times!
