After a couple of weeks of not much in the way of mojo for paper crafting, I’ve been on a roll this weekend with lots of Penny Black stamps now cluttering up my desk.  And they’re all Christmas stamps too!  Something else I’ve been neglecting lately, the making of the Christmas cards!

The now monthly Penny Black Saturday Challenge would like to see more than one stamp on your card, and Less Is More are doing Single Layer with fur or feathers.  I added another challenge too, a personal one to once again use the two clear Penny Black sets and the one Penny Black wood mounted stamp that were still on my desk after yesterdays project, but for a totally different look!

If you want to see yesterday’s rather elegant effort click here, and this is what I did today:

So, three Penny Black’s stamped directly onto the card that was also on my desk as I planned to make four the same yesterday but for some reason only made three.  It’s slightly thicker than regular card and has a slight dimpled surface that I thought would take light watercolouring quite well.  The image is from the clear set The Wonder and it was water colourled with pencils, there are three little red gems on the evergreen garland, these are the only embellishment you’ll find.  The sentiment is from Winter Wonder’s clear set and was stamped in Versamagic Red Magic ink.  The stars are the wooden stamp Star Shower and they were stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent Olive.
