Back again for more desk surfing courtesy of Julia @ The Stamping Ground blog, all the details are to be found there.
First of all I need to apologise for not visiting many of you last week. Work was busy and I was at the Race Track all weekend. This week finds me stuffed up with cold, generously passed on to me by my wonderful spouse after he started with it last Tuesday. We’re also headed off on another camping trip this weekend, then on the 26th, said spouse will be heading over the pond to visit his family as it’s almost the first anniversary of his father’s passing. After that I have one more race weekend at the very end of September and then I’m done. I suppose what I’m trying to say is that I might be apologising to you all in these WOYWW posts for the next two weeks too! I hope normal service can be resumed in October! I have been cracking on with that second pair of socks though and will hopefully have something to show you on that score soon.
The desk has also fallen victim to this busy period, I haven’t seen it since last Wednesday and the only thing of interest this week is two packs of heavy weight “luxury” card stock from Gina K*, as I used up all of mine swapping the images with Eels that you saw here last week, now I can stamp some more to send to her, but not until October due to that busy period! Actually the images are still there, in that box, so I can look at them and stroke them a bit more before finding a permanent home for them. The yellow bag contains the yarn I showed you last week. Also new, it was in my post box when I got home today, are three new Hero Arts stamps that I got for free from Amazon with the points earned from my Amazon credit card. I’ve wanted the Wheat Spray stamp for a long time and Amazon had it for just $9.99 and the lovely Newsprint Tulips was 50% off at $4.99. I also got some pennant stamps, all I need now is a die to match them! Also on the desk is a little win from Kath at All That Glitter, it’s been on my desk for about four weeks but there’s been so much trash on there that you couldn’t see it! It’s a lovely embossing folder, some sweet buttons and charms and some wonderful seam binding, my first of this type of ribbon.
I intend to start desk hopping with the people that visited me that I didn’t get to visit in return, so if I see you I see you, if not, have a great WOYWW!
*I started typing this post up at lunchtime, thinking I would only be talking about my new card stock, but found the Amazon parcel in the post when I got home.

No such thing as ‘normal’ October will bring more ‘distractions’, believe me, I’ve jsut about got my head round this myself!! Sorry you’re all coldy, one would think that your lifestyle would mean you avoid this sort of thing. It occurs to me that you still gravitate towards wood mounted stamps. Hurrah!

Happy WOYWW. Congrats on the No.1 spot. Loving those stamps. I have recently given in and bought myself a knitting magazine – with some needles and yarn. After a break of several years I have really missed working with yarn, so going to see if my hands can cope with needles. Ali x #106

Actually, your desk looks quite clean (would you show how messy mine is, if I weren’t embarrassed to do so!). I see some lovely stamps on your space and I have a couple of the same ones. I’ll be watching to see how you put them to use. I’ve inked any of mine up yet. Until I saw them on your desk, I’d forgotten I had them (the big flower one, and the newspaper tulips). Don’t worry about chking blogs…I think all of us understand that LIFE gets in the way. Enjoy the pace and relax when you get a chance. TFS

Thanks for stopping by this week.

I’m just now getting around to visiting! I love the Hero Arts wheat spray stamp. I have it myself, I got it at the end of the fall season so didn’t use it. I’m glad you reminded me of its existence. For sure I’ll have to pull it out. Your desk might be a victim of your busy period but it doesn’t look too victimized to me! Heck! You can still see desk!
