Still a great style, still one of my favourites.  The Jingles Belles have another one of their great sketches this fortnight and I loved the simplicity of it, so as another couple of Christmas challenges are also looking for CAS I decided to stick directly to the remit (for once) and make it uber clean and simple!

I used a really sweet Penny Black stamp from the Jolly Friends clear set.  He’s really small and I’ve never been able to use him before, but this card is only 4″ x 5″.  I did rotate the sketch though.  He was coloured with Prisma pencils

I searched through the box of Christmas paper offcuts for some matching papers in a more contemporary colour mix and came up with these three from Papermania (top, glittered and embossed too), Fiskars and DCWV, so I matched these colours on the little sock and hat of the robin.  He was cut out with a Spellbinder die and mounted on to a scrap of Hazel Bazzil that had also been cut with a Spellbinder die.

He was glittered with a little bit of Martha Stewart Coarse Crystal Glitter and then popped on some foam tape.  The paper pieces were all edged with Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink and the sentiment, which was free with a UK card magazine, was stamped with more of the same.  Very quick and simple, a great sketch and I love how the colours work together.
