Hello again peeps, it’s time to go desk hopping again courtesy of Julia of Stamping Ground fame. A quick one from me this week, it’s been a busy old week with lots going on, and I have a busy weekend planned too, so I’ll be round to see you whenever I can!
A couple of picture for you, first the desk:
STILL mounting stamps, but at least there’s signs of card making activity again, which means the hot and humid weather is behind us for now I’m happy to say. You might also spot that little Priority Mail envelope in the middle of the desk, here’s a closer look…. talk about name dropping!
The Memory Box fans amongst you might recognise that name as the wife and business partner of Memory Box head honcho, artis and designer Dave Brethauer. So what on earth would she be doing sending me parcels! Well, MB have just had a two week blog blitz showcasing all their new dies and stamps for Christmas and Halloween, they offered a prize every day, and I was lucky enough to win this just for commenting on their blog posts:
This is from the new release and it’s so new that it came to me in a standard red envelope with a loose cover sheet, instead of the normal MB packaging! Not that I care how it’s packaged, it was amazing to get my mitts on something so new it’s not even in the shops yet, and I managed to work it into a Christmas card I had on the go, I should be posting that on Thursday if you’d like to pop back.
As to this weekend, we have our annual Vintage Grand Prix at the race track I used to work at, so we’ll be camping at their from Thursday after work until Sunday. I’m working this event too as it’s always so much fun.

Very organized, very tidy, very intimidating *lol.
Your desk looks great and mounting stamps is something I really hate – but sometimes I hate using them with tack’n peel even more. So it has to be done 😉
Have a wonderful WW!

Thanks for your comment on my blog… I do mostly know what’s in all the piles… though I sometimes have to start excavating in search of a particular item. 😉 You’d be welcome to come and tidy for me… goodness knows I need someone to! 😆

Congratulations on winning such a smashing set of dies, Brenda! I love that they are all slightly different – they give a great effect all together.
Thanks for your lovely comment – yes, everything is coming together really well. We don’t have a definite date for completion of the work yet, but we are definitely hoping for the end of August because my sister is going away then and wants to be shot of Mum by then! Andy (chief builder) and Wonderwoman (my home help and his partner) are going on hols to Italy early Sept. so he’s obviously banking on completing by then! So we live in hope. Otherwise it’s a hotel for Mum and she’ll kick up a stink about that, for sure… but it may not come to that!
Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #112

What a great win for you. I am looking forward to seeing what you use it for next week, perhaps. Thank you for your visit this week. I am sitting her now watching the scaffolders removing their poles etc. It will be good to have my view back. I still have more work to do, things that had not been finished so now I need builders to do the jobs for me, and yet another skip, so there is no chance of getting the caravan back out of storage for a while. It will be good to get the house completely sorted for a bit, though. We have been so lucky with the weather, just one night of storms, but the roof had been protected so that was fine. My next door neighbour is getting leaks in their front bedroom, but they cannot afford to do their roof – what a nightmare. Have a good week with your new stash. xx Maggie #38
