Woosh, here we are again back round to Wednesday/Tuesday to paraphrase Darnell. Thanks for all the knitty love last week, the mitts have been pressed into use at my desk this week in the mornings, and one pair of the socks have been worn. It’s hard getting used to typing with mitts on though! The first green sock is now finished and I’ve started the second one already, this is the fastest I’ve ever knit a pair, I’m really enjoying the pattern.
Anyway, I have a desk this week for What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, but it’s a tad boring tbh.
I had made a card for a DT post so I can’t show you that until this Friday, and then I made one other Christmas card. Bits from that one are still on the desk; the Fiskars sentiment stamps are there and at the back is the House Mouse stamp I’d used. There’s a few little tools and that’s about it! I took the pic on Sunday afternoon which explains why it’s still light, although our clocks don’t go back here until the coming Sunday morning.
And because I’ve got nothing remotely interesting to show you, here’s the HM card that I had made:
I know some of you have seen this already, but A) I like it and B) Eliza said it reminded her of Yoda! Chin, chin peeps.

You are always a treat to visit Brenda and have gobs of good stuff to show us. Like your beautiful knitting, your delicious looking food, your adventures, and your wonderful cards. Did I mention good food?

Your card is an absolute beauty, B, and definitely worth showing it twice! Sweet image and charm, stunning poinsettia and perfect die cut!! We were “great minds” this week: I’m basically showing a card I showed on my last post, too – well, different cards, but same technique. And I had put that we “whooshed” back around to WOYWW, but then I took it out because I say that on Fridays. Kinda spooky! Now if I was knitting a green pair of socks, my freak would really be freaked!! (Specially since I don’t knit!) Happy WOYWW! Have a wonderful week!! Hugs! D

That is truly a sweet card, with the mouse sleeping with the kitty. Here in SW Texas, it’s still not cool enough to warrant socks in the mornings and mittens. Happy WOYWW and Blessings! #24

Oh Brenda…your desk is so tidy compared to mine. I like a tidy, organized house and try to keep my craft room like that. When i finish a project, I tidy up and refile everything etc…but…I have not unpacked from the crop I went to last weekend, There is Xmas stuff out which will have to stay out till i finish that series of then overseas cards…and now there is the miss form the rushed Haloween cards. i messed WOYWW these past few weeks but just might have a scary desk to show next week…maybe i will show a before and after tidying! hahahaha
You asked about the shows we watch…pretty well anything we can get our eyes on!!!
Vera;, Midsommer Murders; and all the other police/detective shows whose names i can’t think of right now…Call the Midwife; Downton; lHeartbeat cuz DH’s Mum lived near that imaginary village); Inspector Lynley; Escape to the Country; all the various Phil Spencer and Kirstie Allsop shows; etc etc.
We get up at 5:30 twice a week as we have to leave here at 6:20 to drive over to our daughters to walk the grankids to school. Mr P is always awake and waiting with my daughter for us to arrive. We wake Little Miss C up about half an hour after we arrive. It is such a treat to be with them, watch them learn and grow, listen to the most interesting topics of conversation while they eat breakfast and walk to school…but dang…it is early for this retired old lady! As Greengrass on Heartbeat would say…I’m nearly an old age pensioner!!!
Can’t wait to see the new socks!
