Hello All and welcome to 2015 with Sparkles Christmas Challenge!  Yeah, I bet you’re going to be hearing that a lot!  So it’s January the 1st and Christmas is well and truly behind us now, but never fear, there’s one every year you know!  Talking of which, you’d better get a jump on making all those cards you need for it and avoid all that last minute panic, right?

My lovely teamie Helen has chosen an easy theme to ease you back into crafting again, and that’s “A Christmas Critter With A Splash Of Glitter”!  We have not one, but TWO sponsors for this challenge.  Shaz has been working very hard behind the scenes for you all and we now have two sponsors every month and two chances to win a prize instead of one.

This month we welcome Bugaboo and Crafter’s Companion to Sparkles Christmas Challenge, both are new sponsors for us this year.

The prize from Bugaboo is 7 digis of the winners choice.

ccThe prize from Crafter’s Companion is a voucher to spend in their nifty online store, where a treasure trove of goodies awaits you!  (Ask me how I know, lol!!).

So, my card for you this month features these cute little friends from Penny Black.

And there’s lots of glitter on here, trust me on that.  I coloured the image with my Prisma pencils and Stickles glitter glue in Xmas Red, Eucalyptus and Baby Blue before cutting it out with a Spellbinders Label die.  The embossed edge was glittered with Stickles Frosted Lace and then matted on to red card.  I applied a bit of “snow” with Perfect pearls.  The backing paper is from a Fiskars 12×12 sheet and the accent piece is an offcut from DCWV.

You can see the glitter better in this photo.  The sentiment is from a See-D’s set and was stamped with Memento ink, punched out and edged with DI Festive Berries.  The blue snowflake is the New Castle one from Memory Box, it was cut from an offcut of lovely baby blue Bazzill card and  the edges were glittered with the Frosted Lace Stickles.  The red snowflakes are a Martha Stewart punch and they have glittered gold brads as their centres.

So that’s what I did this month, we’d love to see what you did too, and while you’re t it, check out the lovely inspirational makes from my teamies at the main blog.
