Before I show you what’s on my work desk this week I’d like to show you what was on my work desk last week. Now you might well be thinking that you saw my desk last week so why is she showing it again? Quite rightly that should really read “What Was On My Work Desk When I Got Home From Work Last Wednesday”!! A certain someone in this house whose work has featured on a WOYWW post in the not so dim and distant past was at it again. He knows all about this little mid week feature, and how many lovely ladies turn up here to look and poke and prod and ohh and ahh….. so he staged a little scene on my desk ready for my Wednesday photo, which unknown to him had already been taken and the post scheduled, and so he was rather put out when I said the job was done and there was no need for more pictures! So to humour him, and to solicit your opinion too, here’s what I came home to last week:
These are hand made, wire wrapped gem stones that he’s hoping to sell (I keep telling him to get them on ebay!). Want to see one closer? Ignore the distracting background and the fact that he needs to dust these little fellas before presenting them for sale!!
And those little cellophane packets in the first photo are his home made, organic shortbread, one with ginger and the other with Michigan Dried Cherries, he already has a few customers for these!!
Anyway, I had to tell you this as he’s been going on about it all week, asking me when WOYWW day was!! But here’s “my” desk this week!
Another Holiday themed card was in the making, but amazingly it’s not a Christmas one! I sat down at the weekend and put together my first ever Halloween card! Not that I have anyone to send it to mind you, I made it for the Penny Black Challenge this week. Had I thought about it earlier I could have made a few and sent them to my nieces and nephews in England but it’s too late for that now, maybe next year. The papers were all free downloads from Raspberry Road, their link is on my second page under “Free Digital Resources”, I love the paper from this company and they give you the most amazing free downloads too. I seem to be collecting scissors this week, obviously it’s my turn to have loads of them on show this week, what else, the nesties are out, some pretty Prima roses in Autumn colours, ribbon and glue dots. At the top left those little green and blue containers are tiny little containers of buttons that I got out of the $1 bin at Mike’s, I think someone else had these a few weeks ago so I had a look for them at my local store. Also centre left are some pink and white gems, and just behind them out of shot are some amazing stamps I got as candy from Kay at Toodles and Binks! The gems were also part of the candy along with a yummy pack or ribbon that was already made it on to one card! Thanks Kay, incredibly generous of you!
Well, that’s all from me (and him too (in my best Two Ronnies voice!)) this week. Pop on over to Julias if you’d like to reveal all and show us what you’re working on this week and where.
