Hi-de-hi!  A quick post from me to show the fruits of my Sunday afternoon labour in the craft room, it’s been quite a while since a card has actually graced this blog I can tell you!

I searched around for a nice sketch to keep things simple and found one at Sketch Saturday.

I looked through my stash for AGES for some appropriate backing paper before I realised that the kraft cardstock was the prefect sandy colour and didn’t need anything extra!  I know it’s been a while but sheesh, you think I might have made that connection earlier!

I covered a scrap of white card with Distress Inks and stamped the Kanban seascape scene directly on to it when it had dried, I also added the little birds from the same set.  I decided that the moon was out rather than the sun, so tickled it and some of the wave lets with a sparkly silver pen which just isn’t showing up at all.  The blue mounting card and the two pieces of sea green DP are also scraps and they were all edged with blue DI.  The sentiment is actually a sticker that was on a sheet free with a card magazine and the two little gems are metallic dots from ColorBok, they’re a bit browner IRL.

On the inside I used the rest of the blue scrap card and a little stamp from a set that was free with a UK card magazine
