So that’s January over and done with then!  Whoosh, along comes February, at the rate this year is going you’ll be happy you joined in with us at Crafty Hazel’s Christmas Extra Challenge, you need to get your Crimbo cards made you know!

As always, we’re an anything goes challenge and as always we’re sponsored by the fab Jodi at Bugaboo with a $21 voucher for the winner to spend in the Bugaboo store.

I’ve used the super cute Stocking Mouse from Bugaboo for my card and as it looks like a little country mouse to me I’ve paired it with a quilted background made from punched squares of Die Cuts With A View Christmas papers from the scraps pile.

I mounted the square scraps on to kraft card after first edging with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink, this was then mounted on the red card and finally green card that had been put through a Fiskars paper crimper.  I didn’t add a sentiment as the Christmas text on two of the little squares is exposed enough to be read.

The image was coloured with Prisma pencils, edged with the Frayed Burlap ink and mounted on to red and kraft card.  A couple of little pearls finishes it off.  The lovely bow is the only other embellishment used.  It’s made with a Bow Easy and the ribbon itself was recycled from a birthday gift from last year.

Please pop over to the challenge blog to see the wonderful creations from my uber talented teamies, and I hope you have time to join in this month.
