Mine looks like a mini explosion in an ink factory. I was water colouring an image using the Memento Dew Drop inks and so had emptied them all out of the large glass pasta container I keep them in. It wasn’t until I saw this photo that I realised that I then put the jar upside down… just like the beer or shot glass on the bar top way back when!! Old habits die hard obviously, but perhaps it’s best we don’t talk about that!!
There’s a nice bit of early evening sunlight streaming in the window too (Tuesday evening), highlighting a Penny Black stamp that I had out but decided not to use. There are also some packets of clear stamps waiting to be put away and the oblong tin was what I was using as an inking surface for the water colouring, which is hiding under the latest edition of Card Maker magazine as it’s for my second GDT position on the House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge blog! You’ll have to come back next Monday if you want to see it, lol!
While you’re here you might want to put your name down for my 500th post giveaway, no, I’m not giving you 500 posts, I’m giving you something rather better than that! Have a look here for the details.
Head on over to Julia’s for the start of What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday this week as always, it’s great fun. I’ve shown you mine, are you going to show us yours????

I use the Crafters’ Companion Stick and Spray, a re-positional spray which lasts for several attachments, instead of the EZ mount or other gunky foam cushions. It works very well for me.

Hi Brenda. I love how ingenious we crafters are as to how and what we store our inks. I have a bucket hanging from my desk for all my inks other than DIs.
I am indeedly lucky in the Pif I received aren’t I?
I just saw your comment on Maggie’s blog about using mounting foam. For my unmounted stamps (which collection is fast growing!) I use Tsukineko Tack ‘n’ Peel. It goes on your acrylic block permanently but it means that you only have to buy one lot (unless of course you like to have a couple of different sized blocks with it on). You can still use the acrylic block for your cling stamps as it is relatively clear (depending how inkey it gets!). I contemplated the foam but saw a lady using the tack n peel and thought it was a brilliant idea. Much cheaper in the long run! The only thing I find is that sometimes on the bigger stamps I put a piece of foam underneath.

My little ink pads are in a glass coffee jar – just big enough for the few that I use. I am impressed with your GDT thingy – hope we get to see what you make.

Hi Brenda, no, I did not go to Puerto Rico, Tim came here to South Africa this past April and also April 2 years ago! So I have been to 2 of his conventions. I would follow the man to the ends of the earth, but budget and time does not allow such luxuries! I saw the canvas on his blog and did something similar with the techniques I know and love.

Love all the light you have there and waht a fantastic array of Dewdrop colours. I love ’em but don’t have many and they have to share the space with the rest of my ink pads. Must say its getting a tad crowed in the drawer now so will have to find a new home soon for some.

That’s a BIG jar for those inks. I can only imagine the tale that goes with the jar and a shot glass on the bar top. I haven’t been to your blog for awhile, so I was surprised to see your new pink adhesive holder. For some reason, I don’t think they are all that popular here in the states. Happy belated WOYWW.

All those lovely inks must look nice in the pasta container! That’s a very nice tree stamp in the background. I’d like to see what you do with it. Thanks for visiting my blog and your lovely comments re my knitting. One of the good things about fair isle is that it always look so much harder than it really is, honestly! And I make the patterns up because I am SO lazy about following printed ones. (I only make up the colour pattern, not the actual pattern of the thing, you know what I mean.) And I rarely ever knit plain colours for anything because I get so bored and usually don’t finish anything that doesn’t involve lots of pretty colours! Hehehe! HAPPY WOYWW!

I love inks in that teardrop shape – I have a load Brilliance ones too. I’d not thought about getting small ones like that in Memento, but you’ve seeded an idea in my head. If only Adirondack did the same! Thanks for stopping by….
