The lovely peeps at Penny Black Saturday Challenge are looking for Spring themed cards this week with a challenge entitled May Day. I looked through my stamps to decide which one to use, obviously quite a lot of the PB’s would fit the bill, but I haven’t used this cling stamp yet and I hate to admit how long I’ve had it! That’s often the way though, half the time we buy these things to look at, not use lol!! I also really liked the great sketch over at Sketch Saturday this week so decided to use it for this card.
The sweet image is called Hello Dear and I coloured it with Distress Inks, adding a little Stickles to the flowers and Glossy Accents to the water puddle. The papers are all freebies from UK card magazines, the strip across the middle is from a Serif pack, but I don’t know the other two pieces. I matted everything with kraft apart from the main image which was matted with green card from The Paper Company, and I made the card base from kraft card too. The sentiment was also a freebie and is part of a Molly Blooms stamp set. Wooden buttons and twine from Michaels and the gems were in a candy win, I think they’re Kars.
