Finally!  A card.  It’s taken me all week to do just one card, don’t really know why but I’ve been very tired and spent most evenings on the sofa with a lap blanket watching Lark Rise To Candleford on the box!  I had to force myself to finish this last night and it was quite late by the time it was done so I had to take a photo indoors with the flash so the colour is a bit washed out.

As you can see it uses a Penny Black stamp, and not just any old Penny Black stamp, but a nice shiny new one from the 2010 Christmas catalogue.  I got it last week at Archivers with a 30% coupon! He’s called A Thorney Affair.  Ya’ll know I’ll rarely pay full price for anything crafty now don’t you!!  At PBSC this week they gave us a lovely sketch to work with, the first one ever provided from new DT member Debby, and she did a fabulous job with it.

So, I coloured the cute little Hedgie with pencils, put a bit of Xmas Red Stickles on his nose, glittered the holly leaves with Crystal and Holly Stickles and covered the berries with Glossy Accents.  The panel was edged with Gingerbread Memento ink and doodled around with a black pen.  The papers are DCWV Christmas 2009 stack and the music is a Stampendous stamp called Music Score and was stamped with the Gingerbread ink again.  The Joy star and the holly leaves have been in my stash for ages, from way back when I first started making cards, they would have most likely come from either JoAnn or Michaels.  The little gold gems are also from Michaels.

Off to link up as I’m incredibly late this week, they publish a new challenge tomorrow and I’ve only just finished this one!
