Well, here we are again, Wednesday snoop time once more. This time I hang my head in shame, you visited me in your thousands last week (slight exaggeration perhaps!!), and I visited….. 4 desks! Sorry, busy, busy, busy again, but at least business Pt1 is over and I have a slight breather of about 10 days until business Pt2 arrives, in the mean time, I intend to visit lots of desks to make up for last week!
Can you believe we went to another 50th birthday party on Sunday too? A good friend of ours was celebrating and I’d completely forgot that he is the exact same age as my husband, so that’s two 50ths and one 60th that we’ve celebrated in the space of 16 days! I’m about partied out I tell you. We went along to his surprise party (he was almost overwhelmed actually) intending to stay for about two hours as it started at 4pm on Sunday afternoon, and we ended up locking the place up and being the last to leave! Due entirely to the fact that our other really good friend came in from California for the party, we haven’t all been together like that for the best part of 8 years so there was a lot of catching up to do as a little group. What a great evening we had.
So this was my desk on Saturday I think it was, or maybe Sunday morning, I really have no clue!! I haven’t seen it since then I know that much. I was making a snippet Christmas card so the scrap boxes are on the table, the Christmas one is easy to spot as it has a large snowflake in there, and beneath that is the box of cardstock scraps. The pieces chosen for the card are on the mat.
Towards the back, on the blue tin, is the Kraftin Kimmie image I’d coloured and cut out ready. The three bottles of Stickles are brand new, Distress Stickles in a pack of three on clearance at Michaels for $3.79, the cling stamp on the acrylic block is also new and was also on sale at Mikes for 40% off, it a Hero Arts Clocks background stamps. The little jar is white flock powder that I later adder to my image. Right at the back by the glue gun are some sheets of tissue paper that I used to mop up some inky goodness from a stamp block, not wanting to waste some water spritzed ink on a stamp block I grabbed the paper to mop it up with.
And as I said before, I’ll definitely be visiting more of you this week than I did last, which let’s face it, wouldn’t be difficult now would it!! Head on over to Julias for the details of the blog hop if you have no idea why I’m showing you my desk!

Always great to get together with friends, but don’t they always seem to come at once, never spread out over a year. Great things on your desk. I didn’t know you could get so many things for cards and stamping, I will have to find a shop around here and have a good look. Just painting sounds boring now.
Have a great week.

Tee hee Brenda . .. .. even though there are loads of crafty goodies on your desk you still manage to make it look neat and tidy!!
I think I need to learn that technique!!!!
It is looking like you have a stickles fetish!
I can’t remember where I saw it but ages ago I remember someone posting their storage idea for stickles. They attached little circular magnets to the bottom of each bottle and had a baking tray attached to the underside of a shelf. Each little bottle was then stored upside-down magnetically attached to the baking tray .. .. so the glitter glue was always in the nozzle ready for use. I thought it was quite a good idea – but have never put it to the test.
Hope all is good with you.
Love Jules xx

Ah, catching up with friends is good. Hope you get some home time now – though your desk always looks good.
Re the ceiling – had to do several coats too, a couple with a stain stop to stop the discolouration coming through and then 2 coats of emulsion – that I did with the roller on a broom handle though which was easier!! (but not much fun…)

great desk. I too won’t waste inky stuff and pick it up with tissues or paper towels. In fact the project on my desk today uses both. BIG GRIN.

You have such an organised crafting area. I wish mine was as tidy as that. I know you say that you have to do one project at a time, but I suffer from butterfly mind, so I usually have several things on the go at once. Those Distress Stickles sound really good, and have fun with them. xx Maggie #8

I’m back, I can see the pic now, and even oyur boxes are tidy, even when I do tidy there’s always bits everuwhere! and NO! No an Essex girl (agh!!) Babycham I think was found when our aunty brenda passed away and I took it on as I used to work for the past Babycham makers and it still had their name on it (the name was sold with the product but I think it’s been dropped now) and I thought the bottle was a bit old, but it wasn’t that old, just about ten -fifteen years or so I think, any way!
Happy woyww again! ((Lyn))

That’s a lot of special birthday happening, how lovely and the party sounds great.
I spotted your pink snowflake and wondered whether it had just sneaked in unnoticed, but I bet it’s on a card now, lol.
That sketch looks very interesting too.
